What Route is

Route adds an optional package protection fee at checkout. Shoppers who pay it are covered if the order is lost, stolen or damaged in transit, and they file claims with Route rather than with the store. Route's own policy says delays are not covered.

At checkout the fee usually appears as its own line called “Route Package Protection”. The app also offers order tracking for shoppers.

Who pays for Route package protection?

The shopper, as an optional fee at checkout. The amount is set per store, so check the checkout of the store you are buying from.

Does Route cover late packages?

No. According to Route's policy, package protection covers loss, theft and damage, not delays.
