CheckoutMap

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

CheckoutMap is built to collect as little as possible: there are no user accounts, no advertising and no analytics trackers. This page explains what we do handle.

Store addresses you check

To run a check we send requests to the store address you enter. The address and the result (which app was found) appear in our hosting provider's request logs, which are kept for a few days for troubleshooting and then deleted. We don't keep a database of the stores you check.

Storefront passwords

If you enter a store's storefront password, it is used only for that one check, sent over HTTPS in a request header and never stored or logged.

Usage limits

To enforce the per-minute and daily check limits we count checks per visitor. For free visitors the count is stored against a one-way hash of the IP address, never the address itself; for subscribers it is stored against the subscription. Counts are deleted after the day ends.

Subscriptions and payments

Your browser

The site stores your access code and your language choice in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in and see the language you picked. We don't set tracking cookies. You can clear this at any time by signing out or clearing site data.

Who processes data for us

We don't sell or rent personal data, and we don't share it with anyone else except where the law requires.

Your choices

You can cancel your subscription at any time with “Manage subscription”. To have your subscription record deleted, email us from the address you used with Stripe or include your access code, and we'll remove it. Records Stripe must keep for tax and accounting stay with Stripe.

Children

CheckoutMap is a business tool and isn't meant for anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
