CheckoutMap

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 29, 2026

These terms cover your use of CheckoutMap at checkoutmap.com (“CheckoutMap”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use CheckoutMap.

1. What CheckoutMap does

You enter the address of an online store and CheckoutMap tells you which order protection app (shipping protection, return coverage or extended warranty) it appears to run, based on the store's publicly accessible pages. CheckoutMap never places an order, creates an account on the store or contacts the store.

2. Free plan and subscription

3. Access codes

CheckoutMap has no user accounts. When you subscribe you get an access code (CM-…), which is your login. Keep it private: anyone with your code can use your subscription. We only store a one-way hash of the code, but it is also recorded on your subscription in Stripe, so if you lose it we can look it up for the email you paid with.

4. Billing, renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time with “Manage subscription” on the site; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy. Prices are shown before you pay and may change for future billing periods with notice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or end access, including a subscription, for use that breaks these terms.

6. Results are best-effort

Results come from what a store's pages show at the time of the check. Stores change, apps can be hidden or removed, and a result can be incomplete or wrong. CheckoutMap is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. Please verify important findings before relying on them.

7. Trademarks and affiliation

CheckoutMap is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Shopify or any of the apps or stores it names. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, CheckoutMap is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, data or business, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects subscribers, we will say so on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use CheckoutMap after a change means you accept it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
