Order protection apps CheckoutMap recognizes

Other Shopify apps with protection, insurance or warranty in their name are listed too, and more app categories are on the way.

Who uses it

How it works

  1. Paste store URLs

One per line, up to 100 at a time. Any link from the store works, such as a product or order status page; only the domain is used.

  2. CheckoutMap checks the store

Its home page, cart and checkout, plus every country storefront if you want. No order is placed.

  3. Get the answer

Which app each store runs, what it covers and where it was found. Export it all as CSV.

CheckoutMap vs. checking by hand

Both tell you which app a store runs. One of them takes an afternoon for a long list.

Built to stay out of the way

Anonymous checks

Checking a store needs no account and no email, and we don't keep a database of the stores you check.

Nothing is bought

CheckoutMap reads public pages, the cart and checkout the way a shopper would, but never places an order and never contacts the store.

Email only for alerts

An email is asked for only if you turn on change alerts. Every alert has a one-click unsubscribe that deletes your email and list.

No ad or analytics trackers

No advertising and no third-party analytics. Page and feature counts stay in our own database, keyed to a one-way hash.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find out which shipping protection app a store uses?

Paste the store's URL into the box above. CheckoutMap tells you which order protection app it runs (Route, Seel, ShipInsure, Extend, Redo, Narvar Shield, OrderProtection.com and others) and whether it covers shipping, returns or warranty.

Can it find apps that only appear in checkout?

Yes. Many protection apps now run only inside Shopify checkout and leave nothing on the storefront. CheckoutMap finds those too, without placing an order.

Does it place an order or notify the store?

No. Nothing is bought, no account is created and the store is not contacted.

Why does one store show different apps?

Stores on Shopify Markets can run a different app in each country. silksilky.com, for example, uses OrderProtection.com in the US, UK, Germany, Australia and Canada, and Xcotton Guard in the rest of Europe.

Does “Not found” mean no app is installed?

No. It means no app was found in the pages we could read. Apps loaded later by JavaScript, or shown only after an address or login, can still be missed. Checkout access limits are shown with each result.

What does “Inconclusive” mean?

The site could not be read, or no app was found and checkout could not be verified. See the note in the result for the reason. For a password-protected Shopify store you can enter its storefront password in the result row.

Is it free?

Checking up to 5 stores at a time on their main storefront is free, with no account, and so are change alerts for up to 5 stores. The $19/month subscription adds up to 100 stores per check, every country storefront, CSV export, alerts for 25 stores and 300 store checks a month. Cancel anytime; you keep access until the paid month ends.

Which platforms are supported?

Shopify has the deepest support, including checkout and country storefronts. WooCommerce also attempts checkout with an item in a fresh cart. For BigCommerce, Magento, Wix, Squarespace, Salesforce Commerce and other stores, we check the home, cart and accessible checkout HTML; dynamic or restricted checkouts may remain incomplete.

Can it tell me when a store switches apps?

Yes. After a check, click “Alert me when these change” and leave an email. CheckoutMap re-checks each store's main site about once a week and emails you only when a store adds, drops or switches an order protection app. Checking stores never needs an email, and every alert has a one-click unsubscribe.
